The year 2019 was one of the painful years in my life. To escape the pain I moved closer to other family, away from the beautiful city of London, but away from the pain. I really did not want to move away because I loved the experiences I had in London and the friends I had.
On a positive note moving away from the city meant affordability in the standards of living, allowing you to save quite a little. God blessed me with this cute little one bedroom maisonette with a drive way and beautiful country side not far from your door step. This meant I was not stuck in a flat during covid like a few people in the city.
I was so excited, my creative juices flowing, my mind wondered into thoughts of how I will decorate the home. My major issue was I could not remember to no longer search on google, "what is the weather in ......" . London was still on my mind and in my heart.
It being a rental, there was not much I was allowed to change but I could turn it into my space.
Charming little house it really was; when my nieces and nephews visited they described it as a doll house and its sooooo Aunty Jijjy.

As you can see I had quite a lot of belongings which included items I used from my hobbies. To ensure I do not tamper with the wall colours or anything else, I had to design my decor around those colour schemes and still make it cozy and pretty.

Two things I dreamt of getting for a while were some beautiful luxurious chairs full of colour to brighten the home and uplift my spirit. It took me a while to find what I was looking for which means posting the blogs and vlog took some time.
Pink Sofa Boxed
The makeover was such a buzz, turning the house in to my home. I enjoyed creating all the more so because it distracted me from my pain. At the same time I was meeting new people as I explored the town.
Storage was scarce in this little chocolate box of a home. For the wardrobes to fit all my clothes I came up with this little idea.

Sofas unboxed, home cleaned and organized, clothes unpacked. I loved mixing the old charming vintage accessories with the new such as the sofas. Such items give character to a home as well as uniqueness because not everyone will have that item as they are old and no one makes them anymore, making them rare. I hope you like it to.

I started a habit of using firm and neutral hangers to make my wardrobes look organized and pretty. Daniel James hangers became my favorite. Unfortunately they cannot be found on amazon at the moment.
