Despite the sad reason I have to move to this beautiful city, I feel like I had to go through that to push me to move here. Because this town, this county is so beautiful. As an avid hiker and walker I have been able to do more of this without waiting for opportunities to go with friends or a walking group. Something I did quite often whilst living in lively London.
One of the things I love doing whilst living in this lovely town is hunting Autumn colours. I am sure you will all agree with me Autumn looks stunning just before all the leaves fall of with the red, orange, yellow and different shades of green. What better place to see this in its glory but the country side.

I scheduled a day, prepped my day pack ready for hot, cold or wet climate. If you know, you know. What does this mean? If you are aware of the UK bipolar weather then you know what I am talking about. I was ready for any eventualities. Regardless of one checking the weather forecast, that rain might come earlier than the 7pm that was predicted or it shows low temperatures and the sun will decide to pop out for an hour or two.
Make sure your day pack has some water, snacks and/or lunch, unless you plan to treat yourself at a cafe or cottage restaurant.
I was ready to explore this lovely country side. Took me 2 hours from my home to where the park starts right here.

What a stunning pond. The camera does not do this justice. On route there were the cutest ducks, swans on the pond which was nestled between a beautiful forest that look well manicured.

It starts drizzling and raining for a while but I am ok since I dressed for the weather.

Then all of a sudden it stops and the sun comes out as I was walking I had to remove the water proof wind breaker and fleece I was wearing.

When I got to Nene park, ferry meadows I was disappointed to find the colours were not yet changed. Seems like Autumn was still downloading. However the scenery was still as breath taking.

I was enjoying the walk as I continued in search for autumn colours accepting the situation when things started to happen.

Spotting some autumnal vibes, we are in for some luck.

The further deeper I explored the forest the more colours appeared.

Believe it or not, NEVER GIVE UP , because right at the end, the lord delivers . Look at this beautiful sceneries. I am afraid the camera does not do it justice. It was worth the trip.

It is sad when summer ends but Autumn does help maintain the cheery mood just before winter kicks in.
Is Autumn one of your favorite seasons? Which towns do you visit or which areas in your town do you like to take walks. What Autumn events are in your town?
